Matrimonial     Counseling      Guarantor       Helping a New Comer

Marriage is the basis of family life in Islam. It is a solemn and yet a simple contract between a man and a woman. Marriage is generally arranged by parents, but with the consent of the couple, as required by Islamic law (Shari ‘ah). Marriage is performed in a simple ceremony in the presence of relatives, friends and neighbors.

Islam does not allow the free mixing of men and women; nor does it allow sex pre marital relationships. No discrimination is made on the basis of sex. Husband and wife are equal partners of the family and play their part in their respective roles.

As our Muslim brothers and sisters demand to perform and organize Islamic marriage, Sheikh Mohamed Awal, president of the Ethiopian Canadian Muslim Community Association As requested for authorization to solemnize marriage in province of Ontario, the Registrar General Office has given full authority to Sheikh Mohamed Awal
